Editor buttons objects
Objects features tools that allow you to insert and edit various objects such as building blocks, fences, boxes, walls, outdoor environment and much more. This will become very familiar because you will spend most of your mission editing time with Objects.

Editor menu objects Models - lists the objects in the way you want. The first drop-down box, which defaults to the first directory it finds, "blocks", is the "big category". The second drop-down box is the "minor category" and defaults to "All". Basically the big category tells you the general use or common denominator of the objects grouped under that category, and the minor category lets you choose more specific objects. A good example would be "walls" and then "fences" as the minor category, which will now show you a list of all the fence-type objects under the walls category.

Mode - changes between inserting objects (Insert amount and a slider starting from 1 and ending to 5, affecting how many of the selected objects are inserted at once (randomly), and in reality the maximum number is 10) and "editing" them (Illumination/Move/Rotate/Delete). To edit an object, simply choose the Illumination mode and click on an object, and it becomes selected. Now you can rotate and move it, or delete it. The Group tool is useful if you want to copy, save, clear or delete a big group of objects. Note that the Group tool does not affect scripts, units or anything else than objects.

When you click on the Group tool, the objects list will show the groups available. If you want to copy objects, have the Group tool selected and press c on the keyboard. This will copy whatever objects are included in the Group tool circle. Pressing del will delete all objects within the circle. You can clear the Group selection by pressing z. Note that clearing only clears the Group tool selection, and does not delete the objects themselves.

The group tool is useful for copying objects

You can increase or decrease the Group tool circle size with the mouse button. When you have something selected, and you want to save the same group for later use, press x to save the group. A dialog will pop up, and you can choose the main category and then the minor category, and finally a name for the grouped objects.

Properties - when you have an object selected, you can give it some properties/attributes. In general, you don't need to edit these. MORE INFO.

New controls for Objects mode:

* PageUp and PageDn raise or lower the height of a selected object
* Arrow keys move objects (when object is selected)
* Mouse click selects an object (and deselects)
* Mouse wheel up rotates an object
* Mouse wheel down "snaps" the object to the nearest 45 degrees (great for "grid" editing)
* Z, X (held) + Mouse wheel up rotates an object on different axises (Z and X)
