Editor buttons terrain
Terrain lets you modify the terrain, set different ground textures and edit terrain heights (create mountains or canyons etc).

Editor menu terrain Heightmap - the loaded heightmap affects the accuracy level of the heightmap but it is recommended that you don't alter the options.

Textures - shows the textures that can be used (click to select). You can add new textures with the Add button, which brings up a dialog. Go to the directory where you have extracted the Data1.fbz contents, and then \Data\Textures\Terrain, and add some of the textures to your list. You can also Generate texturing, which covers the whole terrain with one or two textures (the textures must be in the list). The number next to the option means how the textures tile... When you click on the option, a small dialog pops up. From this you can choose two textures. Ignore the sliders and the Water setting, and click Generate. The terrain is now generated and you should see the results immediately. MORE INFO

Optimize texture layers - no idea

Mode - lets you choose between setting textures (Splat textures) and editing heights (Edit heights). Radius affects the effect-radius of the mouse cursor. Strength is used for heights (only??) and it affects how slow/fast the terrain heights are edited. MORE INFO

You can easily "splat" textures to make cool-looking terrain (not depicted)

Height - If Edit heights is selected, modify these options to adjust the height editing tool. Choose Raise from the drop-down menu if you want to raise the terrain, and Lower if you want to lower the terrain. Circle and Rectangle change the shape of the height tool.

Terrain heights are simple to adjust - and fun to play with!

If you want to set the terrain height at a certain level, choose Pick, and click somewhere on the terrain (at a spot that is of good height for your purposes - the Height shows the height of the place where you clicked on). Then choose Flatten from the drop-down menu. Now when you edit the heights, the terrain will raise or lower to the height level you selected but no more/less. MORE INFO (some bugs?)
